Find All Answers To Your Questions - Problogging Success

I'm back

Do you remember Find All Answers? Those who are reading this blog for more than a year now should know Find All Answers well. For the others let me introduce Find All Answers ? the old domain and brand name of this very blog Problogging Success.

I initially started Problogging Success as a trio niche blog ? a blog on Blogging Tips, Relationships and Self Improvement. The blog went well, but I just couldn?t cope to satisfy the needs of the vast variety of people that were interested on the topics at the blog.

I was also doing bad in terms of ranking poorly for potential keywords and ranking great for unwanted and un-targeted keywords. I then made a big move.

I dismantled Find All Answers totally. I moved the ?Blogging Tips/Internet Marketing? part of Find All Answers to Problogging Success.

I did this carefully and (to my knowledge) correctly so that I retained all the SEO benefits. In other words, the SEO status of Find All Answers was attained by Problogging Success (this blog).

By the way, if you are curious about how to move a wordpress blog to a new domain without damaging the worthy parts, read my tutorial:

Moving on.

I created three new blogs Tech Buzz Online, Merry Relationships and Jane Sheeba.com?and moved the non-blogging parts of Find All Answers appropriately and have started to run these blogs independently.

Now its about 6 months since I?ve made the move. Until this time, Find All Answers is pointing to Problogging Success ? this means that every page/post/comment of Find All Answers is set to make a 301 redirect to the corresponding page/post/comment on Problogging Success.

Now I feel that it is time for Find All Answers to be a site of its own. I had this idea in mind for quite a while, but it didn?t occur to me until Amanda left the following comment on the above mentioned (?moving a WordPress blog?) post:

That is the most comprehensive guide I have come across for moving a blog from one domain to another. Also I would suggest keeping the previous domain for a while (if not permanently). I can see many advantages of the previous domain name: it is well known and generic type. It is likely that you would discover either the need or the usefulness of a generic name. For instance it is a very good domain name for ?how to? type of site.

That was enough to create the spark and I decided to turn Find All Answers to a Question and Answer website, something similar to Yahoo! Answers, Quora and the like. I spent a day in researching for a good theme. I was thinking if I should be using a theme or a plugin.

I tried certain things and finally I?m using the Sofa Q&A theme from Themeforest. I?m glad that I could put the old domain of this blog to some good use.
