Skiing is one of the most anticipated hobbies people look forward to during the winter months. Once the weather gets chilly and the snow begins to stick, you will soon notice snow gals and gents rushing off to the nearest slopes for vertical?exhilaration. Now we must say we are in no way experts on where to go, but wanted to get the skinny on the best places around the United States.

Luckily we have resources like Travel + Leisure to light the way. Below are five awesome (ski) resorts to consider that are all in North America. These of course are our picks, but you can see the entire list here or at??www.travelandleisure.com.

This is a special place where there are more mountains than million-dollar condos. Where real people get treated like celebrities and celebrities get treated like real people.?What makes this possible? Quite simply, it?s because our three ski areas and two mountain towns are set in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Banff National Park.?And that?s what makes this Canada?s Protected Playground.
